As I heard many years ago..
Everything goes up.. and every thing comes down.. except ur age.. haha
well, I wished these people were around today..????
Just a couple of days ago I heard it was $93.@barrel.. and even through the winter we would be OK.. as long as it did not hit $100. @barrel .
At this rate.. I am not sure we make it..
They will always have a reason to go up wheather it is true or not..
Hard to stop them when u can't get EVERYONE involved.. even when it is huring the little guy.. the rich keep buying defeating the purpose..
if we would ALL stop before it gets and worse then.. we might make a difference and send a message..
but try to stop cooperate businesses, from flying their jets???
People don't participate until it is hurting them.. and by then,, the others have given up.. ???

The Act you cite replaced into appended to a diverse Act and handed the abode, besides the undeniable fact that it replaced into withdrawn from attention in the Senate. So, as realst1 reported, there is not any such Act. The Act as proposed did no longer do something that even hinted at “blockading” oil from Canada. Geological surveys that have been performed in Anwar do no longer point out that it fairly is a “significant” field. There’s no longer adequate oil there to electrify the fee of oil in the industry. it fairly is, actually, a drop in the bucket. We’re kidding ourselves if we predict of we’re going to discover a monster oil field everywhere which will reason oil expenses to plunge. That’s a pipe dream. we could renounce attempting to politicize each thing. The Democrats are no longer attempting to injury our economic equipment. like the Republicans, they're in simple terms attempting to control the economic equipment to fulfill their targets, which seem to create greater of a partnership between the undesirable and the wealthy. it is their “you're making it and that i’LL spend it” sort of socialism. it may additionally be called Trickle-UP economics (yet no longer too far up). BTW, opposite to what Gene H reported, the thought-approximately trickle-down economics did no longer originate for the duration of the Reagan era. It originated for the duration of the KENNEDY era. there is not any could remark on his remark approximately our infantrymen in Iraq being "from the middle type downward." Gene looks to have forgotten that the DRAFT ended an prolonged time in the past. .

"Destroy the economy"?? So did you miss the news yesterday that the GDP is growing at an impressive 3.9%?
Actually this is the best thing that can happen. Those high prices, and the resulting high profits, are like a flashing beacon alerting entrepreneurs all over the place that there is money to be made in supplying the economy's energy needs. And they are certainly mobilizing, spending enormous amounts of money developing alternatives that will benefit you personally, even though I'm guessing you're not going to be part of the solution yourself.

Why oil will likely never-ever be "cheap" again:
https://www.cia.gov/library/publications...
Take a look at where China sits on this list. Figure this list was last accurate about 2004-ish. Now, consider the current state of worldwide oil production, the recently weakened dollar (reduces our buying power on the international market), nationalization of over 92 percent of available oil fields (think Venezuela & Putin's new Russia), and the booming consumption in areas like South America, India and China (Chinese population of about, oh, 1 billion folks with a newly awakened thirst for oil (US population about a quarter of that)).
----------------------> Supply vs. Demand <-----------------------
We can't blame China or India for our problems. They're just getting in on the fun we've been having for the past forever. Yay!

Solution 2)

The best solution would be a gradual switch from the use of traditional fossil feuls to ethanol, but an easier way to cut down on our use of oil would be to install better public transportation in the bigger cities because it would limit the amount of cars on the street

Everytime they fart wrong it causes the prices to go up. I wish there was a day we could not drive once a week and cause havoc for them by causing an over supply and no demand. I wish I could find a job closer to where I live so I didn't have to drive so far. There is no way for me to use public transportation with the job I have.

Oil companies don't set the price of a barrel of oil - that is the price they have to BUY it at. the price is set in the marketplace, with the sellers having most of the say. that would be OPEC for the majority of it.
Any reasons for the price of a barrel of oil that have to do with domestic issues in the US are tilting at windmills, and didn't come from anyone with common sense, just John Q. Public.

They will continue to raise prices as long as they line the politicians pockets.Congress was supposed to investigate the rising of oil prices, but as soon as the oil companies hear that, they lower the prices and the dumb bells in congress stop investigating them. Both sides LIE and say anything to the public while they sit around getting rich off of us.
