sometimes for a very brief moment, it feels like this exact same thing has happened before. Example, I was standing next to this chair talking to my friend who was sitting on another chair close by...and it felt like this exact moment, exact settings, same ppl, same footing everything has happened before!?!?!
it happens to me quite often. Does it ever happen to you guys? How do you explain this?

The weird feeling you get when you remember a scene or event when you know you're actually experiencing it for the first time. Some people take it as evidence that they've lived a past life, but more than likely, it's just an uncommon but harmless chemical or electrical blip in your brain.Déjà vu is often a fairly enjoyable thing to experience but it's not anything you want to base life lessons or philosophy on.

Déjà vu from the French, meaning "already seen." The feeling that your current experience is a repetition of a past one.

Maybe it's caused by perceptual data getting into your memory sooner than it reaches your conscious perception.

yes and no, first your brain reacts to familiar situations and take that info and adds on the rest of what you did at some time do and then you take it as a recurrence second you may just be one of the people who are very aware and this may not have happened just then but will happen in the future and you are going to re-live that moment so it feels familiar, keep a daily diary help prove the theory that it is a unexplained mystery,

Yes, it happens to me quite often....how do I explain it? Well, I don't.....but I do have my beliefs about it, but that's all they are, not facts yet proven. I believe, as Einstein has illustrated quite well, that time and space are curved.....also, there are multiple dimensions...I see it as a "burp" for This reality on This Space/Time continuum. Yes, just like Star Trek or Matrix...every action creates a new line of actions....yet what if you took a different action? If anything is possible, it will happen an infinite number of times....therefore, at every point in time, we DO take another action...and it leads another "us" down another time line...like I said, just my belief...

I mostly have deja vu when I'm drinking. But it's probably because I'm drunk.

Sometimes I think I dream different things. Example: I had a dream once that my biology professor was throwing dodge balls at me.

And then today.. the biology club had a dodge ball tournament against one of the other clubs on campus. We had a practice session before, and my prof was throwing balls at us. I was pretty creeped.

(It was almost like one of those 'in class in just my underwear' dreams, and it was before my first big exam in college. Ugh.)

Um. Deja-vu is a well known phenomena. It has been explained by science for quite some time.

There is no mystery about it. It does feel weird, but it is just misfiring of the neurons.
