If you are interested in Classics, you should read War and Peace of Tolstoy, this one of my favorite books I have ever read. It is very interesting and so well written.
Also I would recommend Ana Karenina from the same author.

Some more modern work would include:

The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever By Stephen R. Donaldson

Dune by Frank Herbert, although it is science fiction it is a master work about politics, religion, economics, intrigue and human ambition, Set into a epically feudal story on a planetary level. Very good book, fascinating. I am sure you will like it.

Good luck and have fun reading.

Go to Amazon.com and search:
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1"
"Death by Murder David Lindsay" - you have to search that way or the title doesn't come up. There's a lot of sex and violence in that one but it's not gratuitous. Your post is 9 years old now so it's okay.
and "Super Spaghetti."
They're all by David A. Lindsay.

They're free if you have Kindle Unlimited, and you can get a free trial of that - Google how.
If you don't have a Kindle you can get a free smartphone app from Google Play, or read it online - all free.

Some cool and funny girl books are the series about a girl whose sister is a witch, its not like harry potter or anything, the first book is called Bras and Broomsticks by Sarah Mylnoski or something like that. Another series i like is about a girl named Georgia Nicolson. Its like her diary and its really funny. The first book is called Angus, Thongs, and full-frontal snogging. You should try these books out because they're really good. I'm 14 and female as well and i really enjoyed these books.
