It is best to set the Cuckoo to Cuckoos 30 min. ahead. Like if you want to alarm it at 9:00, then set it at 8:30. If you don't like my advice then replace your clock with a new one... :D

I like this problem; it could make a nice little story.
However, to be serious I suggest you take your cuckoo clock to a clock repair person. Let your fingers do the walking, as they say, and call ahead to see if the repair person can deal with a cuckoo clock. Luck!

Although he spindle that rotates the hands is correct the set of the hands are not, to cure this, just re adjust the hands till the time and the cuckoo are in sync.
