Yes. It pisses me off to walk into a store, see Christmas decorations & hear Christmas music BEFORE Halloween stuff is even put out. I love Christmas, don't get me wrong... but it's bad enough I can't escape any of it ANYWHERE from the day after Thanksgiving through the end of the year, but I should be able to go buy some damn groceries without being bombarded by Santa & Snowman crap when I haven't even bought Halloween candy. If I wanted that, I'd go to the year-round Christmas store.

People have lost the true maening of the Christmas spirit. It is way too commercial and very costly to boot. Wal greens has had trees out for 2 wks now and Im annoyed. However I will admit that because I have three small kids 7, 5 and 4 I decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving.

Well, see, I am a manager at a store, and thats where you are wrong.
Its all about sales. They go upon past years. They put it out at a certain time, and if it sells, then it goes out a little earlier the next. And so on. So don't blame the workers at the store, blame yourselves, if you wouldn't buy it, then we wouldn't be forced to put it out earlier and earlier.
Not directed at you personally, just people in general. The way I worded that was kinda not exactly perfect, but gets to the point.

Last year I got burned out on seeing it in early November. And it feels like it goes on for months. I don't always go to the holiday area in stores so I don't get over loaded on holiday items. I think stores are doing everything to snatch those dollars and that is why we have Christmas beginning in August. I think I have lost the magic because it is so commercial now. I am trying to do homemade ornaments with the family and we are going to design our own sweets. We will be baking an Eastern European bread called Pocita with tons of cinnamon and walnuts. Wish me luck! Best of luck to you!

I have to admit, that I agree with you on this. The reason why they do this is because they get tons of money. As soon as one holiday is done the next day they put out the decorations for the coming holiday.
