Sure! All of our neighbors are friends. I've borrowed various tools a number of times, and they borrow from me.

Its very important though to accept that if you damage or lose something borrowed from a neighbor, no matter how insignificant the item, you always replace it or fix it, or have it fixed. Otherwise you damage the relationship, which is not a good thing with your neighbors!

My next door neighbor and I have an open pantry policy. You can borrow anything and you don't have to worry about paying back. Sooner or later we will be even, we think. It helps to keep a well stocked kitchen, medicine cabinet and tool box.

LOL @ their wife! Good question but I'd have to say NO. My neighbours are pretty nasty so I wouldn't want anything out of their homes.

Sure, but it's usually something they borrowed from me - I have to go asking for my own things back.

Yes. I have very good neighbors. I let them borrow from me also.

Nope. I prefer not to interact with my current neighbors. I'd be afraid of blurting out that they should try to clean up their damn yard since they can plainly see I'm trying to sell my house. Damn it. Lazy@$$ slobs had to move in next to me.
