Lady Bugs which are actually LADY BIRD BEETLES, and a member of the family Coleoptera, are very essential for eating Aphids.
Aphids are tiny parasites that are white, green or red in color and suck the juices out of plants, especially Roses.
Lady Bugs come in several varieties: no spots, 2 spotted, 9 spotted, etc.
According to Old Wives Tales or Superstitions, they are considered good luck.
As a gardener, they are some of my best friends.
