Hate her or love her she is motivated by a need to serve this country. It wouldn't hurt if more of us thought that way.

She wants to prove that she can win. I get the feeling that it isn't about an agenda or to serve the people it is about winning. She is trying out platform planks (baby bonds, 401-k's etc.) and seeing which ones will put her over the top; not because they are part of a heartfelt plan to help any particular group.
On the other hand, I don't think that this is a quest to gain power for power's sake. I really believe that this is just to prove she can win. Once she is voted in we will see a huge celebration and then a couple months of confusion as she understands that governing is a job, not the ring on the merry go round.
Here's hoping that our country doesn't have to experience this.

Well, the problem with that outlook is that that assumption means any other reasons have to be underhanded. I do believe she cares about the people of this country, deeply. I've been following her progress for many years, since she first stepped into the White House. Though she has flaws, one thing I have no doubt about is her love for this country.
She wants to be President for the reason anyone should want to be President. They think they have ideas and answers to improve our country and continue our growth as a nation. I don't think anyone running for President does so simply for egotistical purposes (other than Ralph Nader). Whether they have the worst or the best ideas, they think they can be the leader that solidifies our strength as a nation.
Sorry to be so serious, just my opinion.

Why does anyone want to be president? Who cares, as long as they do the job.

She wants to do what she thinks is good for the country.
Republicans like to do what is good for the corporations. Screw the workers, consumers, and the environment.
