All I can do if offer my point of view:
Companies here (Canada) still offer great benefits, including health insurance, to their employees. I also know that companies in the other countries that have socialized health care have insurance.
I guess you won't really know until national health care goes through. Is the US market really that different from every other western world?

You bet why do you think there is a stink over the SCHIP for children, right now. the wage scale is so high in this program, it would seduce many to drop Private and go on the government dole.
Many company's will use it to cut costs, forcing more on the government dole. this would grow the Governments cost and force taxes up.

I can't understand why Americans are so afraid of universal healthcare. How can the rest of the developed world (and some of the developing world) do just fine with it... but not Americans?
Billions of dollars have gone into misinformation.
Something as essential as healthcare should never be in the hands of a corporation that values money over life.

No. If she has any sense she will let people choose.
The choice will be the private insurance industry that depends on multi-millionaire bonuses for their CEOs and huge profits or a nonprofit organization, where every single dollar goes to care.

Of course, if we are all paying for it anyway why should the companies pay?
Oh, and if you are tempted to say, they ought to pay for health insurance, why? Or is this really going to be second class care?

Possibly. And if that is the case, many folks will say, "why have a job?" Ever notice the high unemployment rates in countries with socialized medicine?
