Blaine has never said anything...Taylor's friend has only talked once or twice and I didn't even know Nathan was even there.

I think that before its over all the kids will get some TV time. I don't think they are picking Main Characters but they are letting us get to know each of the kids a few at a time. Did you notice that Taylor hardly got any air time last night! I think eventually we will know all the kids! There are just so many of them that they will have to show us a little at a time!

It's not the kids; it's what tape production chooses to include in an episode. There are specific story lines that are highlighted. It would be chaos if every kid was shown talking as much as every other kid.
There were 40 kids there (now 38) that's a LOT of people... not everyone is going to get the same camera time in the end... there is no doubt that Blaine, Nathan, and Taylor's friend are on tape as well; it's just on the cutting room floor.

It's TV. No matter how much the children talk or don't talk, the people who make the show will only show the footage they choose. They've probably picked out some "main characters" to focus on and don't deal very much with any of the others, to make it simpler for people to follow and more interesting.
