21 kids came to my house (i live in a suburb of Chicago). my bro and i took turns handing out candy. I even snuck out the back door and went around front hoping he'd give me candy...sadly enough, i've done this too many years in a row and he knew.

most of the kids were little, oldest was probably in 4th grade or so. Most of the costumes were pirates (i thought they were after me booty), some were pumpkins, one kid didn't even dress up.....

I live in WA, an hour and a half south of Perth....I saw a few kids around but none of them actually came to my house...they only come over when I'm unprepared with no lollies!
I don't think its sad at all that we don't celebrate halloween here... and it doesn't bother me that some do celebrate it here either...what does annoy me is when we have roast lunches for Xmas when it is hot as here....it's only b/c we are copying them...it's winter there then so thats why they would have a roast...so whats our excuse? Bring on the BBQ, seafood & salad...

I lived there for 10 years and I loved it but then I moved back to Country WA, which I also love but for different reasons. If I were going to move back to Melbourne I would need a lot of money because it is an expensive city and I refuse to live in a box.

About 30 kids came tonight. About 1\3 were teenagers, including kids in Gryfinndor costumes! :-) I live in Houston Tx. We gave away gummy body parts, candy necklaces, gummy hamburgers, bubblegum, lollypops, and fruit rollups

yeah but think about it how many aussies think its a waste of time you would just end up with people turning the sprinkler system on and giving you a mouth full

takes all the fun out of it ..unless you go back with eggs and t.p
