Well, GENITAL Herpes is STD! You can figure the rest.

These qotes is from a Genital Herpes Site:

Transmission is caused by close oral, anal, or genital contact, including intercourse, masturbation, kissing, or any direct skin-to-skin contact which allows for the transfer of bodily fluids.

A person is considered contagious when prodromal symptoms, active sores, and healing lesions are present.

Herpes is potentially contagious when no symptoms are present. That is, a person who has genital herpes is potentially always shedding active virus.

This is one of the most common forms of a STD virus. It is caused from the HPV virus. That is why now young girls ages 9-24 are getting the Gardasil Vaccination. It is a series of three shots. 1 and then in 2 months, then another in 4 more months. This is to help prevent cervical cancer and genital warts. Since this is caused by a virus, once you have it, the virus is always with you. It can be in a dormit state. A person can have no signs or symptoms. But when a person does find out that they have been diagnosed they are often pointing fingers. It may or may not be from a persons, unfaithfulness. It could also be that one or both of you were exposed to the virus, (through a sexual encounter) years before. Men and women can be carriers of the viruses. The preventive Gardasil shot is only approved for females at this time. Because women's most common cancer is cervical cancer. Men don't get cervical cancer. But a lot of testing is still taking place. It will probably recommended for males in the next few years. It is recommended to have this vaccination before any possible sexual activity. That way the body can build up the antibodies to resist the virus.

So your husband or you have been exposed to the virus and it might have stayed dormit until recently. Stress or other factors can cause the virus to become active. But it is also a possibility of infidelity. Check out the www.gardasil.com web site. Best of luck with your relationship.
p.s. I would recommend having your doctor remove the warts as soon as possible.

Yes, you can carry the virus for years without knowing it, so if he's not the only man you've slept with then it's possible or he could have been carrying it and passed it to you without knowing. It doesn't mean he cheated, but it could mean he cheated. What does your husband say about this? Also know, that if he gets cold sores (another kind of herpes) and preforms oral sex on you, you could get a break out on your genitals. Do you know if it is hepres type 1 or type 2?

1 in 3 people have genital Herpes and the majority of them don't even no they have it. You can carry the virus for years without any physical symptoms showing up. Unless your having a breakout it can't be passed along...but of course the symptoms are very often extremely subtle. The answer to your question is there is no certain way of knowing unless of course he has esyclavere in his medicine cabinet or you can get him to confess. If he hasn't cheated on you don't sweat the herpes, it aint a big deal....go visit your doc though....

Herpes is a virus and can be carried for several year with out any signs. But if you have six kids and you have had your annuals, it is really unlikely you were caring it all this time with out you, your spouse or any of the kids not having any symptoms. You really should ask you MD where else you could have picked it up from. it would be a shame to hurt 6 kids for no reason.

Has your husband had a problem with fidelity in the past? If it were me, i would suspect that he has cheated on you. I am not a doctor though, and maybe, you do carry the virus. I have never heard of that but I am not 100% sure that you cant. Good Luck!

You may have been carrying the virus for years and it was just dormant. Or the same for your husband.

I found out from my doctor that almost 70% of the adult population has the virus. Most have never had an outbreak and don't even know they are carrying it.

As for if your husband cheated, hard to say. Either believe him, or don't, but there are many ways you could have gotten the virus.

Sorry but if you had genital herpes before you were married you would have seen signs by the time you had your youngest child. If you wasn't unfaithful then your husband was unfaithful. Did he get checked for the disease? What did he say when you contracted the disease? Did he act surprised and ask you how you got it?

Very little is known about how or when people become infected with HPV. Women may be exposed to HPV and not develop genital warts for many years. Both men and women can be infected with the virus and not know it.
