I went there a few years ago and everyone or the majority of them seemed rude. They don't smile a lot and if your in a jam packed store they just seem to push and shove you out of the way. Its a very nice city but I really didn't fancy the people in it. Also, I went to Macys and tried on a few clothing items and brought it to the worker afterwards to be put away and in a very mouthy type voice she told me "go put them bck on the hanger then i'll take them". I was not happy. Does anyone else feel the same way? I would love to go back there as it is a beautiful place but I dislike the people in it. Are all people like this in New York?

There are just too many people packed too tight.
They simply can't react to everyone so they've
evolved "New York polite": "Do your business
quick and get out of my face".

Not all new yorkers act like this. I guess new yorkers act so rude because of their everyday trafic, high mortage prices, and the urge to just rush
