I live in Los Angeles near West Hollywood. The upside is the weather is lovely. There are always new clubs, restaurants, etc. popping up. Social mores are more lenient than in the suburban East Coast neighborhood where I was raised. On the downside, there are lots of young people with dreams of being famous and rich. Most of them are caught up with themselves and aren't down to earth. They are amusing to watch and listen to though.

I come from a very small foothill community northern/eastern California. Our county has about 40,000 residents and the beautiful Shenandoah Wineries.

Most people are friendly but there is a small group of anti-growth people that really get on my nerves with their manipulated information and unrealistic Utopian ideals.

well, I come from Escondido, really nice place, great to have kinds grow up in, but too boring. lots of really great mexican food though. The people are ok, except when it comes to the topic of immigration.

im currently in San Jose for college, and it really has a small city vibe to it. lot more diversity (all kinds of food up here) plus a heck of a chance to start off a technological career (right in the heart of silicon valley). The people range from busy to friendly
