Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick, Broadsword
Kansas - Icarus (Borne on Wings of Steel), Song for America

Dream Theater, Spocks Beard, Yes, just a few. Really there are a TON of them. Evergrey is like progressive metal. I have to say Dream Theater is definitely my favorite though. I'm sure most will agree. Alot of these musicians will have lots of other side projects with guys from other bands. Welcome to a new experience!

Genesis (Pre-1980)
King Crimson
Yes
Emerson Lake & Palmer
Gentle Giant
Marillion (Fish era)
Greenslade
Premiata Forneria Marconi

This is just a start, but these will lead you to others.
