I agree, start over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend so that you have time to plan and make the decorations. The stores will be busy the day after Thx, but you could get a few magazines and get ideas and make a shopping list.

I make alot of decorations and like to have them done by Thanksgiving or shortly after so they are ready for tree triming time.

I recommend about two or three weeks before Christmas break. When you are younger, the Christmas season seems to start as soon as December starts!
