I hate it because it reminds me of when my son was little and we had such fun....now he's all grown up and far away. I miss the innocence of trick or treating as it was then; now Halloween seems to be a time for dangerous tricks and way too much partying.

It's all in your perspective. If you think it sucks, then guess what.... it sucks.

I suggest the following:
- Choose your attitude
- Choose a positive attitude, see the "fun" in it even as an Adult
- I'm answering questions and having a blast with the kids coming door
to door
- deck your place out for "fun" on Halloween - the kids love it and their joy
rubs off on you

I am an adult I think. I am 47. Now what's Halloween. I mean what am I supposed to do that I am not doing? Because if you didn't mention Halloween I wouldn't had know it was Halloween and some bored kid somewhere thought it sucked.
It sucks WHAT, anyway?????

I do. All night the door bell just rings and rings. And i don't usually buy a lot of candy so im usually fresh out after the first 5-6 groups. So i feel like a stooge for pretending im not home after that.

It doesnt suck!! Dress up and go out with friends! Once an adult you can go to adult parties, even more fun than trick or treating ever was!

no way! Tonight I dressed up as a '49er gold miner, and in past years was this great witch costume. And I love to greet the kids - that's what makes it special for adults

Not me! I live in a large apartment complex and had a ball laughing with tenants who dressed up. We had refreshments and a lot of joy being together. And tonight I dressed as an old witch and gave my grandkids a scare when they came. Fun is for any age!

You can make it fun even when your adult and you don't have kids. Just try dressing up, it made me in the mood and the fact that I work with children.
