Sure, do you remember the Howard Dean scream in '04? Muskie crying in '68? Dukakis in the tank?
All of these were minor incidents that killed their chance at election. A mis-step can be made in a moment.

There are a lot of things that could prevent Hillary from getting the nomination.
For example, Hillary has a notoriously filthy mouth. Even back when she and Bill were in Little Rock, Hillary acted like some prima donna Eva Peron, and would swear a blue streak at the people who had the unfortunate task of protecting them.
If someone taped her swearing, I think a lot of people would start figuring out her true character.
How about all those scandals during Bill's term in office, especially the highly suspicious death of Vince Foster?
Hillary looks like an ice queen, but sometimes her nerves get frayed. If she were seen sobbing on camera, that might turn off a lot of voters.
How about very suspicious, and probably illegal campaign contributions. The Chinese reportedly have been bankrolling her.
Personally, I think the Republicans want Hillary to get the nomination, knowing they have literally tons of material to use against her. With her as the opposition during the general election, the Republican would practically win by default.
Game over.

No, she is very intelligent and obviously her democratic opponents are threatened that is why the good old boys ganged up against her last night in the debate. Hilary can hold her own. The only thing I worry about is the sexist population that refuses to vote for a woman. Hopefully, these people will only represent a small amount of the voting population.

she does well with the democratic leftist primary. But Republicans believe she will be the easiest to beat. She does not have a very convincing message and she is only popular because of her husband. At least Barack could sway some independents to his ranks, but Hillary smites as a socialist and there is a silent majority who have already made up their minds about her and she won't come out on top in 08.

based on what I heard about the most recent "debate", it doesn't sound as if the other candidates even WANT the nomination!
