any women ever had a baby before they were 22 years old?

i was wondering if any women ever had a baby when they were between 13 to 19 yrs old and if so why. if your 20 to 22 then just wondering too. i know this 22 year old mexican women who has 3 kids and the oldest one is 7 years old

I was 17 when i had my first one! I cannot answer for everyone when you ask why, for me my daughter was an unplanned surprise. These days girls are having children younger and younger. This is not uncommon as to back a couple hundred years ago, girls were having children and marrying at about 13 years of age!

I'm 20, I got pregnant when I was 18 and had my daughter when I was 19. I was engaged at the time and now I'm married and we have the most perfect little family. We knew we wanted to have kids young, we just thought we'd start when we were 21-22, we thought we had taken enough precautions like condoms and spermicide ( I was told by my OB that I couldn't take BC because of a medical condition, never mind that he lied and 6 mos later I was preggo...) but I guess my daughter was determined to be here, she is after all a very stubborn baby ;) Anywho, she isn't a mistake, she was a surprise, and plenty of couples over the age of 22 have "surprises" of their own. Contrary to what you see here, not all couples are trying to conceive when they do. They have often times been married or "together" just as long as us young ones have. The fact that I love my husband and cant imagine my life without him isn't affected by my age.

I had my first at 20 and second at 22 (5 wks before my 23rd birthday) but I have been with my husband for 9 years now. I am 25 now and due for my period today but experiencing pregnancy symptoms similar to those with my first two so......

I don't know what the hype is about young mums (I do think under 20 is a little young) because they can make just as good a parent as a woman in her 30's

My sister was 18 with her first, 21 with 2nd and 25 with third and has been with the same man the whole time. she is happily married and 30 now.

My sister-in-law was also 19 with her 1st, 22 with the 2nd and 27 with the 3rd and happily married to my brother since she was 19 but got together when she was 14. (she is 30 now)

My other brother was 21 when his first was born but his wife is 4 years older than him.

All of my siblings and I started young and we're not divorced yet or by any means incapable of taking care of our kids so I don't know why it is considered to be 'bad'. Just because we value family over career perhaps?

i am 19 and i am 24 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. I am just a very maternal person and i have wanted to have a baby ever since i can remember. I have been with my partner for 3 years and we are engaged, we had a baby because we love each other and are ready to have a family together. My partner is 23 and we both have good jobs and a stable home to provide for this baby.

And i dont like it when people say 19 is too young to have a baby, age is not everything, it depends on how mature you are and if you are mentally and financially capable of raising a baby!! I am so proud to be a mum and i cant wait to see my little boy, i dont care what anyone thinks or say's!! I love him and my partner with all my heart and i couldnt be happier!!

I am 20 and I am having a baby in December. I am because I have been married for almost 4 years, I have the money, and a great husband. I want to be a young mother and that why I am.

I was engaged at 18, planning to get married at 21. Got pregnant at 19 1/2, became, a complete surprise, was dumped because he didn't want a baby yet, had her at 20 1/2 and she is now 16, have never seen or heard from her biological father since. She is amazing and challenging and I am very glad that I chose to continue her life.

Sometimes it just happens and it is up to the woman or girl to do what is right for the child and that means growing up fast.

I gave birth to my first beautiful daughter at 18, my second beautiful daughter at 20 and my third beautiful daughter at 22. My children are the best things that could have ever happened to me. By the way I am 30 now.

I had one at 19 that was totally unplanned. But then I was married at 20 and had another child at 21. Most women do not plan on becoming pregnant at a young age. They are just uneducated and naive about sex in general.

I got pregnant with my daughter when I was 18.. had her 4 months after I turned 19........I am 20 now and am 37 weeks pregnant with my 2nd daughter

My babies are my life and I wouldn't change anything if I could.
