Yes, it can be repaired. Whether it is laminate (Formica is a popular brand), or solid surface material, there are repair kits available for both.

You local building supply store can probably put you in touch with a repair technician... someone who works for a cabinet maker, or installer, for example. Not ALL people in the industry can do this type of repair, but that is your best bet to find one. You need either someone familiar with laminate repairs (for laminates), or someone who does a lot of glueing and repairs in solid surface material.

Depending on how big the chip is, they do make repair kits. They come in different colors and are in little bottles sort of like fingernail polish. I saw them at Lowe's but I sure other places have them too.
