ok you set up an equation like this:

25/x + 3 -3 =8 -3 subtract 3 from both sides

25/x=5 you then cross multiply to get the x on the other

side 25=5x then divide both sides by 5 to solve for x

you get x= 5

therefore your answer is 5

5 is the answer as 5+3=8.

it depends.
25/(x+3)=8 is not the same thing as (25/x)+3=8
If it's the first one, the answer's 1/8
If it's the second one, the answer's 5.
