back in june i had central air installed in my house. they incorporated my old furnace and installed a seperate thermostat for the air and left the old thermostat for the heat. now when i use the heat, the fan doesnt shut off. i think they wired it all wrong

if this is an electric furnace it is possible either they wired the relay wrong or the sequence switch that turns the fan on with the heat....if it is an oil or gas furnace there is two possible problems...it could have what is called a fan/limit switch....this could be bad or it could have just a fan switch and this could be bad...it could also be possible that they wired it up wrong and when you switched the thermostat to heat it just stays on...or the fan setting on the thermostat is set to on instaed of auto...

possible, but check to see if there is a fan off /on switch on the old thermostat, or try putting the a/c thermostat in auto,

Or maybe your low temp limiter switch is out. In older furnaces and maybe newer ones there was an upper limit switch that turned the fan on when the furnace was hot enough, then a lower limit switch to turn the fan off when it gets cool enough.

they should of removed the old thermostat and installed a proper heating/cooling thermostat
