IF YOU ARE PRETTY SURE IT IS JUST A HAIR CLOG. JUST USE HOUSEHOILD BLEACH, THE CHEAPEST YOU CAN FIND. JUST POUR IT FULL STRENGTH INTO THE SINK, OR TUB AND LET IT WORK...BLEACH DISOLVES HAIR. IF IT IS GREASE OR ANOTHER TYPE OF BUILD UP, TRY DRAINO OR ANY PRODUCT CONTAING LYE. WORSE CASE IS THE DRAIN WILL HAVE TO BE SNAKED OUT

Does Drano Work

It is really dissolving the greasy gunk that is holding the hair together. It is not a good thing to use in garbage disposal sinks (will eat the heck out of the moving parts and cause leaks) nor on a clogged pipe that you will be pumping with a plunger (could splash corrosive liquid on you) nor when you are going to open the drain plug (because the drano will pour out through the opening).

Other than that it is OK. Given my druthers I would call it a last resort and try taking the drain plug out first.

GO to Home Depot and ask them what product is good for hair clog. Drano might be good, I think.

Yes it does in most cases if you follow the directions. It has a mild acid in it that dissolves the hair in order to break up the clog. Before I buy some however, I would try a plunger. If it is a sink, make sure you get a wet rag to block off the overflow drain before you use the plunger.
