Well people unwilling to accept evidence obtained under controlled conditions using scientific methods and procedures that surpass the controls in all other social sciences and medical research might tend to drive you a little crazy. People that deny the evidence that leading skeptics say can't be explained by poor use of statistics or poor methodology is a little maddening.
In any event I am unaware of any scientist or member of the Parapsychological Association that has ever had a mental break down or been declared legally insane after studying ESP.
So good luck with your studies. I have included a link to the PA for you below so you can start with the scientific research literature regarding ESP.

'Make' you crazy as in people will assume you're crazy? Possibly because you're studying a field that has never even been shown to actually exist. After a few hundred years and no results, it seems like maybe you could find a better way to spend your time.
'Make' you crazy as in drive you crazy? Well, I hope that having no results would bother you a bit.

because you might think you're read everybody's mind...then find out you're not...but you're sure that you are...but you're not really and you don't know for sure if you are reading their minds and everything will get crazy because you won't know if you are or if you aren't and you'll be following every little "whim"..thinking something told you to..but it didn't...but maybe it did...and you'll just look crazy and you'll get misled a lot.

If you concetrate on something so intently without positive results (like trying to force yourself to get rid of hiccups) you are bound to go batty.
