I think i need to start taking my car to work..I usually take the city bus but now i fear from alot of strange people...Today i was siiting in the middle of two people (on the 3 seats on the bus)and it as crowded as usual..im always minding my own business and some guy who was standing over me and this other lady let out a huge loud sneeze AND DID NOT COVER HIS MOUTH..i just looked at him wanting to say something but didnt want to start with him(people are crazy in N.Y.)The lady sitting next to me started yelling and cursing at him cover your f--- mouth and so on all kind of nice words...here i am in the middle of this fight , he starts to answer her back and i just want to get off the bus...too crowded to move anywhere.WHAT would you have done to him if he sneezed in your face and not covered his mouth?? This fight went on for 5 minutes and the driver just kept on going..i was ready to crawl under my seat but there was no room...HELP!! The guy who sneezed thought he did nothing wrong

You should have nicely asked him to cover his mouth. Unfortunately, it sounds like it's a loosing battle. Do you have a car that gets good gas mileage? I used the bus when I was younger, but there was never that big of a crowd.
I use to drive my pickup truck to work that got 14 mpg. Last year I picked up a used Honda Civic that gets over 30 MPG, so that is really helping...Want a ride...:)

A bit rude of him not to cover his mouth,no need for a fight though.Just politely explain that you dont want his germs and no reason to use bad language it will only make it worse.I know you did not do anything wrong, just advice for others.

He sneezed right in your face. Common, I would have spoke my mind there. That man has no courtesy for others. I don't know if driving yourself in NYC is any better, but I think I would find some different way of commuting.

I probably wouldn't have done anything, in big cities as you rightly say people are crazy and you can't be sure who has a knife or something, pretty much the same rules apply here in London.

say as politely as you can could you please cover your mouth? you catch more flies with honey. then get out your handy purse size antibactireal cleaner rub some on your hands and lightly around your mouth and nose area to kill any germs and maybe he'll get the hint

It depends on my mood - but usually in public I won't say anything because people are crazy!!!

Let it go. It won't happen again. If it does, start thinking about alternative transportation.
