No not at all...

In a number of states in the USA it is now legal to marry 1st cousins. It has been determined the children of 1st cousins have no more birth defects than those of completely unrelated couples.

I know you were not talking about marriage, but I am trying to explain there is no problem and it is not illegal to sleep with a cousin except for the legal concent laws still apply.

so NO it is not bad to have slept with your 3rd cousin!

I think today it would be seen as a bad thing....in years past that was done all the time to keep money and property and wealth in the family. So, since that isn't what you are talking about, what are you thinking? It must bother you to ask and If it does you probably need to rethink your choices. Your family may be torn apart and never be the same. We don't have those morals today. So, it won't be looked upon as a good thing. That is my opinion. Sorry. Good luck. Please move on before you can't and it turns bad. Miss Mary

I've slept with a 1st cousin. It was terrific. Later on I related well to her husband and her kids. Don't ask, don't tell! Just a stage we were both going through and it was pure sex. But safe sex!

Well, it's legal....but it's still not really a good thing. 3rd cousin is still your cousin, but at least they're not your 1st cousin. But it's just not very....it's just not good. But still, that's not something that's accepted still in society because its still family.

Medically speaking, I believe by that point you are sufficiently different in genetic makeup such that any children you might have would not be at an increased risk for genetic diseases or anything.

Morally speaking, most people would be repulsed at the idea.

Look to yourself and judge for yourself, make a decision you can live with.

Never tried it so I don't know. But, since I dont even know who my 3rd cousins are, I might have. You've given me something to think about.

Well technically there is no blood relation. The mental aspects of it are a bit tough to chew. Family reunions might be a bit awkward though. Have you thought this one through?

Not if they are hot! As long as you are adults and know exactly what you are getting into (family gossip, some disapproval) and feel each other are worth it, happy frolicking. Its legal, so go for it.
