My question was that I can't tell what time is it if it's in military time. For example, if the time is 1800, what does that mean? What time is it in regular 12 hour time? Thanks!

Midnight starts at 00:00 hours, or 24:00 hours. Then time just counts from there, so 1 am is 01:00 hours, 12 noon is 12:00 hours, 1 pm is 13:00 hours and so forth. Hospitals usually use this time format as well. It automatically gets rid of any confusion of whether it was am or pm.

Military time ignores AM and PM designation.
The hours are numbered from 00 to 23.
All morning hours have a "0" in front of them starting with midnight.
Starting with 1pm, 12 hours are added to get the military time. So if you see a number greater than 1259, you know it is not morning and that you should subtract 12 to get civilian time.
The colon is usually not displayed between the hour and minutes unless seconds are displayed.

Examples.
1330 = 1:30
1700 = 5 pm
21:58:27 = 9:58:27 pm
0417 = 4:17 am

Military time is the regular time plus 12 hours for pm hours which is 12 noon to 12 midnight. Example 1600 hours less 1200 is 4 pm. AM hours from 1:00 am to 12 noon always have a zero in front of it. Example .0900 hours is 9 am in the morning or 0300 is 3 am in the morning.

After noon, just subtract 12. For instance at 1:00 pm, your clock watch whatever shows 13:00 so minus 12:00 equals 1:00. If you leave your clock watch whatever on military time for a while, you will unconsciously submit track the 12 without even thinking about it.

Well if the 24 hour time is from 00:00 to 11:59, that is your time, just add an am

If the time is from 12:00-12:59, that is your time, except add pm to it

If the time is 13:00-23:59, subtract 1200, and that is your time, add pm to it

midnight is 0000--from there until 1259--same as regular time. Then in reg time we go to 1PM, they go to 1300 hours--to convert back, just subtract 12 from the first two numbers. at 1159 PM reg, they have 2359 and one minute later when you have midnight, they have 0000 again.

anything above 1259 military time subtract 1200 to get the time it is in PM

if it has AM or PM it is not military time

If it is 4 digits without the colon ( : ) it is military time

Usually regular time will have am or pm next to it. Military time will not.

this is how i think it goes.
after 12:00 o'clock keep going instead of starting over again.
so 1300 would be equivalent to 1:00 o'clock 1400 would be 2:00 o'clock
