According to Webster's New World Dictionary, the word 'enthralled' means to attract or hold motionless, as by a fixed look or by inspiring terror or to hold the attention of by being very interesting or delightful; charm; captivate.

Thrall originally meant slavery. To be enthralled, therefore, was to become enslaved.

These days, it usually means to be so fascinated by something or someone that you forget everything else - captivated is a great synonym, because it conveys that same sense of being so interested in something that it's like you've been captured by it.
