I think his reputation was hurt by the fact that he was Kerry's running mate in 2004 and really didn't help him that much. He didn't deliver his home state, North Carolina, or a Midwestern or Western state, for Kerry, so I think a lot of people were angry at him for that.
But don't count him out yet, I think this is where the primaries are really going to get started on both sides, two months before Iowa and the pressure is on, this Democratic race is going to get a lot closer from now to then, whoever ends up winning.

well... first off it's still early...
most people don't start really paying attention until the primary is in their state... Heck, most don't pay attention then, if you look at the numbers that vote in primaries...
I think you're seeing a lot of "name recognition" right now...
Edwards was on as VP... but, that's not nearly as much press as being the first lady for 8 years and a senator in NY...
same with Rudy for the Repubs... if you look at the issues... he's farther away than all the other candidates are... but people know his name...

A good guy is not equivalent or associated with good leader, is equivalent or associated with good morals. I agree is still early but he needs to work his leadership speech.
The possibility of him as your lawyer is an example that he could be the only moral lawyer on earth. :))

because he's a smarmy, slip - and - fall lawyer who resonates with almost no one and has virtually no shot at winning the nomination, never mind the general election. why throw support and resources to a loser? even the dumbocrats aren't that stupid...
