Yes the Chargers will win the Super Bowl this year. Last year they peaked too early and got Schottenheimerred in the playoffs.
Remember a few years ago Pittsburg went 15-1 and did not make the Super Bowl? They won the Super Bowl the following year.
The Patriots have peaked too early this year. The Chargers are playoff tested. It will be an absolute dogfight in the AFC playoffs with New England, Indianapolis and Pittsburg. But as a lifelong Charger fan I feel more confident about our chances of winning the Super Bowl than ever before.

I think Philip Rivers throws too many interceptions, and doesn't make good enough decisions...that and also the new coaching staff make it seem unlikely to me...add in the domination of the Patriots and also the Colts (NE beat SD pretty convincingly) and so I don't think they will....
but then again...(contrarian side)
I think they will definitely make it to the playoffs...the Faders and Broncos suck this year...and I think SD will beat KC next time and I think they will win a lot more games than KC will the rest of the way....
An interesting gauge will be the SD vs. Indy game the week after this....to see how they stack up.
but anyway...if they make it the playoffs...anything can happen....with the new receiver (Chambers) they could possibly do more too...(by not being so 1 dimensional...it could help exponentially just by forcing other teams to take people out of the box in their formation.)
hmmm...they also got rid of Marty...maybe the playoff curse could be gone (?)
but the short answer is No.

The Super Bowl will almost certainly be won by either the Colts or the Patriots... whichever of the two teams that makes it to the Super Bowl.

They'll kill the Vikings this week and they'll win their division, but the Chargers are no better than the third best and probably are the fourth best team in the AFC this year.
Almost no chance they win the Super Bowl.
Sorry.

It will be a stretch. I'm thinking wild card at best. Then again the Steelers won the SB going into the playoffs as a number 6 seed.

if they could get their sh!t together, they could be a serious contender. Now with Chris Chambers, they've got a deep threat, so defenses won't be able to stack the box against LT and Michael Turner. Still, they didn't look THAT impressive against the lowly Houston Texans. I wish they could get it together and start contending with the Pats & Indy again.

Look, first they have to learn to walk before they start running, they might make the playoffs this year, which is a remarkable thing after the bad start, anything after that is gravy

Well, in my dreams they win the Superbowl, but they also are undefeated!
Unfortunately, I don't think they win this year. Too many changes on their coaching staff among other things.

hm....
Interesting question no?
Chargers got the pot. but they just can't win in the playoffs.
Maybe if they beat one of the teams, they can win in da playoffs and become SB champs...
Just one person's opinion!
