i'm a veg and some say vegetarians are unhealthy, others dont. the ones who do say veg's are unhealthy say this because we dont get enough protein which you get from meat. i'm perfecly healthy and i dont eat any meat (fish, beef, pork, poultry etc...).
my question is. has there ever been a case where someone has gotten sick or died because of lack of protein?
i havent and i'm wondering if there is anyone out there who has.

Your body does need protein. So if you were to go a long time with out getting any protein at all you would serious health problems. However you do not need to eat meat to get protein. Beans, nuts, milk, eggs, and soy seeds are some examples of nonmeats rich in protein. They also make a lot of vegan foods that have protein in them.

well i dont know anyone per say but you can die from lack of proteins. not enough protein in the diet cause hypoalbumin which cause fluid to leave the vascular system and enter the tissue which then leaves you dehydrated, electrolyte imbalanced and acid base imbalanced. also low protein can cause drug overdose because you need the proteins for the drug to work

meat provides complete protein the only vegetable with aa comlete protein is legumes. but there are vegetables with protein, just make sure you eat enough

Yes you can die from not enough protein. Anorexics die from this all the time because their heart fails. However, vegetarians that I know are not lacking protein at all. What about beans and rice? Much protein there. Tofu, cheese (if you do dairy) But it sounds like you don't know enough about your own chosen lifestyle. You need to read up on it and what you need to do in order to stay in balance. Very important for veggies to take B vitamins though.

It depends if you do the vegetarian diet right, you have to eat more than salads and ramon noodles. I'm not sure what your stand poin on fish is but I would suggest eating fish, it is really healthy and a good choice if you want to make sure your very healthy

Edit: cb anorexic is when you hardly eat at all, not vegetarian

I don't know anyone personally who died from being a vegetarian but I know a few vegetarians who look vegetarian.
I'd say there are risks in any diet and some to most of those risks in any diet are manageable.

Here's a couple links to articles about the risks of being vegetarian....

I haven't heard of that. As long as you're getting some source of protein--such as tofu, peanut butter, beans, or nuts---you will be fine. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
