First, where in the constitution does it say the Government must provide healthcare to its people? Second, it is not about children that is what Dems want you to believe. It is about the age raising to 25 for coverage and illegal aliens being covered. This is just a way to socialize our healthcare.

you know it is so funny to me when I see questions like this. People really need to stop listening to the far left for their talking points and taking it as facts. Do some research and form your own opinion. A majority of children without medical coverage are in families who make between 30,000 and 80,000 dollars a year. Anyone under that income can get medicade. I make well less than 80,000 dollars a year but my 3 children and my wife have medical insurance and we are not starving to death. Maybe instead of fancy cars and big screen tvs you should insure your children. We shouldnt raise peoples taxes to pay for other peoples children just because some people dont have their priorities straight. For those who dont like our health care system go ahead and go to Cuba with Michael Moore and see how you like living there at least youll have health care!

The health care Bush vetoed would benefit the poor. The majority of poor people are from non-Anglosaxon minority groups--including African Americans.
The Republicans don't hate children--if the main beneficiaries were white children, they'd be all for the bill. But they do hate minorities. It makes no difference to them that the victims are children in this csase--the color of their skin is different. That's all the right-wing cares about.

They don't want to pay for public education either. The repubs figure they got theirs (usually, it's their daddy or granddad who actually did the 'getting') so screw everybody else.
Just look at Bush. Never held a job in his life that was not handed to him by favoritism. If Bush had gone to public school, he would have had his lunch money stolen, been stuffed in a locker and hung on the hook by his tighty whiteys..... what a chump.

I will give them healthcare!
But in exchange, we'll need to shut down social security, medicare, medicaid, farm subsidies, corporate welfare, etc.
Make us a deal and the kids get medicine!

They love children and most children are covered by medicare or private insurance. During the middle of a war is not the time to bring up such a costly venture. The Dem's. cant find anything better to do than twist and manipulate the masses.

Why do parents hate innocent children so much that they keep having them when they can't provide them with health care? It's the parent's responsibility to provide for the kids they bring into this world first and foremost. Seems if they cared then they'd only have those they can afford to have.

Please, if you are really interested in what all the contention is about, read the bill they are trying to pass regarding CHIPS. See if you agree with everything that has been wedged into a bill that should have only been about health care. I think if you actually read it, you will understand why it has been vetoed.

Because of they don't deserve it.In the winger mind, any one who can't afford health care,no matter how many hours they work, don't deserve it.They've failed to live up to some bizarre yardstick that says you are a failure if you can't make ends meet and that you don't deserve the help of the government in providing for your child's healthcare.
