A lot of you girls are a little screwed up in the head. You must be really full of your selves to think that just because a guy thinks you are pretty that you are in danger. If a guy tells you you are pretty he probably is trying to flirt and flirting is natural. You should always try to be concerned about the safeness of your surroundings, but if you have done that properly you shouldn't be so dismissive of kindness from admirers. It seems aloof and rude. I partially blame media for contributing to excessive fears and the estranged interactions between the sexes that allow them to sell countless products to assuage our subliminally planted neuroses.

Well, personally, I know I would say "Umm, okay." Probably give them some strange look and try to get away as quickly as possible. Just because I'm a very anxious person.

They do. I just smile politely and thank them, in a way that lets them know I appreciate it. I don't try to strike up a conversation with them so as not to encourage leading someone on. If they strike up a conversation then I politely respond in it.

Say 'thank you', then probably walk quickly to my car and go home or to a heavily populated area. I'd feel uncomfortable.

Say 'thank you' and walk on into a group of people as quickly as possible. Do not linger; do not be alone.

Blush and say thank you. I have actually had that happen a few times. It's a wonderful feeling.

Well, it's nice when/if that happens. But I would just smile, say 'thank you' & go along my merry way, as I was.

Depends on how they say it. If they are just being nice, say "thanks" and either walk away, or if they're cute, go ahead and flirt :) However, if they are drunk/high/creepy, start making an escape plan!
