I don't know about your situation specifically, pregancy & cervical cancer. I do know that cervical cancer is one of the easiest forms of cancer to treat and cure. I recently had a scare and did a bit of research, it does not make me an expert by any means but my doctor was surprised that I took it in stride and was prepared to start treatment not buy my gravesite. Ask your doctor all the questions even if they seem trivial or stupid, it may put your mind at ease. Go take a nice hot shower and as hard as it may be try to put your mind elsewhere. Pray or meditate (what ever your beliefs may be) to put your mind at ease.

Do you mean actual cancer or 'CIN 2 Abnormality' from a pap smear/biopsy?
There are usually 4 stages.
CIN 1 - basic changes in cervical cells, not cancerous
CIN 2 - medium changes in cervical cells, not or pre-cancerous
CIN 3 - severe changes, pre-cancerous
4th stage is actual cancer.
I had CIN 1 & 2 before and then during my pregnancy and everything was fine. Afterwards it accelerated to CIN 3 which meant I had a LLETZ procedure to cut away the abnormal cells before they turned cancerous. Pregnancy can accelerate the growth of cancer cells in any type of cancer.
Hope this gives you a little more information. I was worried sick my whole pregnancy also because my mother actually had cervical and uterine cancer. but everything turned out fine and the procedure is so easy. they can't do it during pregnancy though and if it is real cancer not the CIN things then continueing the pregnancy could pose a risk for you and the baby.

There are so many things that can be done to treat the cancer and not harm your baby. I'm a young breast cancer survivor with 3 friends who have gone through chemo during pregnancy with healthy babies. Since the cancer is Stage II, it means that the cancer has not spread beyond the cervix to the lymph nodes, so there is a chance they can do surgery and then chemo later. I would look for an oncologist who has worked with pregnant women. Don't stress out...the best thing is that you have found the cancer. I know it is scary as heck...I wish I could calm you down, but I've been in your shoes and know you probably won't be calm until you talk to a doc and know your game plan.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

My fiancees mother had the same thing with her third child(she has four and then she had to get a hysterectomy b/c of a tumor) She found out at 18 weeks that she had the same stage of cervical cancer. They didnt do any treatment for her until two weeks after He was born. honestly the only thing I can say is put it in Gods hands and pray like crazy. Good luck and god bless to you, your family and that little one!

I'm sorry to hear that but I'm sure you OB will give you some advice and let you know what your options are. I know my friend went through the same thing, delivered her lil girl and then they treated her for the cancer. Don't stress out, that's the last thing you should do this early in the pregnancy.

Calm down. My daughter had to go through this procedure...not sure I remember the name of it, but everything will be fine. As far as the being pregnant part. not sure. Try to think of other things such as planning your baby's name if it is a boy or girl. When you would like your baby shower to be planned. Think positive thoughts. And last but not least...God does not start something He doesn't intend on finishing.
