There is no direct train. You'll need to change trains in Paris and in some connections at the Spanish-French border (Perpignan or Hendaye).

See http://www.seat61.com - the "Spain" page explains Spain-Paris. From Paris you can take a Thalys train to Amsterdam. Note that you'll need to transfer from Paris Lyon or Paris Montparnasse to Paris Nord, which are different train stations. This takes about 1 hr or longer.

http://www.bahn.de is the German train website and it has the best search engine for European connections. Rick Steves has a guide on using it: http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/tips/db_tips.htm

You also have the alternative of flying or taking the bus:
http://www.skyscanner.net
http://www.eurolines.com

Fare with bus is approx. 150 EUR for Barcelona-Amst-Barc. Travel time with bus is 24 to 26 hours.

Where in Spain? leaving from Barcelona and leaving from Bilbao are two different things.
Go online to b-rail.be , click your language, and click 'international'. then enter your info. Raileurope.com is also good, and sometimes finds different connections. Or fly- it' sprobably much cheaper if you can book a bit ahead- trains through France are BRUTALLY expensive. Look on skyscanner, a site that searches all budget airlines in Europe. Also check Eurolines for a bus- can be a great deal.
