While it may not be illegal, it could be construed as unethical -- you know, special favors & "special interests".

I suppose there are some archaic laws still on the books that prevent sexual acts of non-married adults..and even some for married adults.

Are they enforced? Never!

Now, if we are talking about consensual sex between co-workers, where one is a supervisor...yep, that can and will be addressed when it's discovered.

edit: the "why?" portion of this answer is...it is assumed that the person in the power position has an implied coercive ability...based on their ability to hire, fire, promote, demote, and so on.

So how would politicians get laid?

If a person was a politician and was not married they would only be able to sleep with other politicians?

I know we say that politicians are in bed with each other but I don't think the law mandates that it be literally in bed with each other.

truthfully dazzling. And the unhappy element is one or the different occasion could have a candidate elected for the final public of races because of the fact the only different selections are somewhat narrow of their decision of motives and characteristic a tendency in the direction of fringe thinking, to be type to them. What we desire is yet another constitutional convention to push the reset button and spell out some info that have been taken with no attention and not spelled out at a 2d grade point, however the probabilities of that are narrow.

It may be against moral laws if you or the politician is married to someone else. If not then there isn't anything illegal about it unless you are underage. To boil it all down you must consider the morality of the act not legality.

well politicians are humans ( well supposedly) This is America the only laws on sex are
1. They must be consenting
2. they must be of age
3 and they must be human ( its animal cruelty otherwise)

So yes it is legal and not at all wrong. Just cause your not a politician doesn't mean your unworthy or anything

NO. it is very important in America to view politicians as ordinary individuals, and only that they were elected to their positions by the people. Restricting their sexual activity might make them seem superior.
