I agree, I think the Hawks should do all they can to get hold of them in the long term. The danger is that as they develop, they will start to demand higher quality support, as they are both clearly talented players and know they can succeed on a contender team. The Hawks have to find some way of getting the supporting talent to make them a genuine contender, without trading any of their stars away. Really, the future depends a lot on whether those two players see their individual futures as being in Chicago, or whether they'll want to jump ship as soon as they're eligible for free agency.

I've been wild about Toews for a while but the more I see Kane the more I know why he went number one. Hawks have two diamonds in the rough there. I hope they don't mess it up.

I watch Toews play in the World Jr hockey s while back. Great player and going to do great in the NHL. Patrick Kane tho haven't seen him play yet.

to no longer be a p.c.. bunny, yet Kane. Toews neck is kinda to important so it seems slightly off. for sure, while you're speaking skills clever warm then in all danger Toews. in case you desire to make certain some genuinely eye-catching participant seem up the Penguins roster ;)

Hawks are very lucky to have 2 very talented young players lets hope that they want to stay there b/c wouldnt that be cool of in the years to come Kane gets a chance to play for his home team the Sabres i think he would love the chance to play for them if when he becomes a UFA and Sabres offer him a deal i think he would take it

The Hawks could be the league's next 'young guns' story, ala Pittsburgh, AND we get to see them on TV now.

they're great players. They are establishing a strong young core so they should see the playoffs in the next three years and the cup pretty soon after that.
