I have a Pontiac Grand Am 2000.

My radiator has a leak. It leaks coolant like crazy.
I don't know how much it would cost to get it fixed.

I've been thinking about selling the car, because it's useless and I have no money.
There are also a few other problems with the car, the driver's side window does not roll down, the AC needs charged, and there is no passenger side rear-view mirror. The reason I said all that, was because I need someone to tell me how much I could get for it, if fixing the radiator costs too much.

PLEASE ANSWER

Look at it this way will it cost more to fix it. Or to sell and replace the car. Do you know anyone that can put a radiator in for you because it's really not at all hard to do and it would save you big bucks. If you do get it fixed ask for used parts they are just as good as new but at less than half the cost.

You need some friend to look at it. Why can't it just be a bad hose. It's unlikely that the radiator would leak that much that quick. Tell your husband to ask a friend to check it out. There's a big price difference between a radiator and a hose. Of course it could also be something else all together. can you see a water trail when you get out of the car? If it's leaking that badly you should be able to see where it's coming from.

If you can turn wrenches you would be way ahead to go to a junk yard and get a used radiator. There should be plenty of 2000 Grand Ams in there. A used radiator would be a lot cheaper than getting another car at this point in time if you can change the radiator yourself and you would still have a means of transportation.

with all those problems it would be cheaper to junk it. i got a new radiator 6 years ago and with installation cost me 700 dollars. and at the time the radiator itself was 500 of the cost.

look in phone book, i think lakeland radiators is the name....they are nationwide. radiator should be about 150 shipped.......if its not too bad a leak, an egg in the fluid will patch it temporarily......really......and upon further thought, i think its lakeshore
