I find that my family is supportive, but just doesn't get that a meal can still be tasty without meat. Consequently, I bring dishes to family dinners that complement the meal they're serving, and eat off my dish as well as the side dishes served. What's interesting is that they don't get being vegetarian, but there are never leftovers of the dish I bring... My son has a 'mild' form of autism, and eating a variety of food is tricky, so we're always asked to bring food for him, because they don't know what he likes, even though he consistently likes the same foods to eat through the last 11 years... I think people just have a hard time realizing not everyone eats the same way they do. My husband eats meat, but supports me being vegetarian, but he still has a hard time thinking veg for dinners with meat on the side for himself. It's a tricky one!

My family is the most supportive of me all around. We don't get into the spiritual stuff though. My friends help me out when I start to question and get depressed.

My family is supportive emotionally, spiritually, financially, etc. No matter what I'm going thru, they're there for me. Non-judgemental family was how I was raised. I love them!

Both. I have finally been able to have a select number of friends that I trust and love and that feel the same for me....& they have proven their support, and as far as family....they too have been there when I need them in any way.

I am a lucky person because both my family and friends are supportive of me. The one person who is the most supportive though is my boyfriend. He is my truest friend and always there for me. I thank the Lord for him, all my family and friends.

my family are the people that get me best- my cousins i mean. my aunt and uncles are a bit repetitive, but true, ive got to be successful. my cousins would be my best friends if they were all six years younger and not my cousins. but i lean on my friends the most because, hey, theyre around. theyve got my back. my best friends, the two, keep me rolling in life, i jump over the ditches and bumps easier because of friend to friend counseling

I've been going through a lot of stuff lately - if it hadn't been for my family & my real friends I'd be a puddle of tears in the corner someplace. They've kept me grounded & focused.

My friends for sure. My family wouldn't notice if i walked off the face of the earth!
I have friends that notice when I'm not "around".
They notice when I'm unusually quiet.
They also give me acknowledgment and encouragement....My friends ARE my family....
:)
