Hi, there.
I haven't used the NuvaRing, but I'm familiar with some of the pros. One good thing about the NuvaRing is that the release of hormones is continuous. With the pill, the hormones in your system spike each day, but methods like the NuvaRing and the Patch have a constant flow of hormones into your body.
Some women don't like the idea of placing something in their vagina, so if you're not particularly comfortable with that, then it might not be a good method for you. But, if that's not an issue, then you'll be fine. :)
Some women and their sex partners worry that male partners will be able to feel the NuvaRing during sex. However, you can remove the NuvaRing for a couple of hours for sex, and then reinsert it, and the efficacy of the hormones stays the same. Check with your doctor - I believe that you can leave the NuvaRing out for up to 3 hours. You should double-check the amount of time, and also ask whether it matters how frequently you remove it. (i.e., if you have sex every day and remove it for 3 hours, vs. having sex once/week and removing it for 3 hours.)
Those are some things to think about. Remember - there are lots of birth control methods out there, and you just have to find one that works best for you.
Also - don't forget that the NuvaRing does not protect you from STDs, including HIV. So, unless you and your partner have both been tested, it's best to use condoms during sex to protect yourself.
Hope that helps!

I have used NR for 3 yrs to control endometriosis pain.
There were no side effects for me. I don't smoke and am not extremely overweight, so my health risks were decreased.
I like it alot. It worked for my lifestyle and I liked not having to worry about a pill daily. It was easy to insert and remove.
I am not sexually active, so it wasn't a worry for me about pregnancy, but BC is never 100% effective.

Never heard of it but I got pregnant 3 times while on the pill, so the only contraception is abstinence. I find that the implant is the best contraception so far.
