You may download an updated driver form microsoft.Go to control panel,device manager ,find the sound driver ,right click ,properties and roll back the driver.

If your computer is still under warranty talking to a HP tech online won't cost you anything. Just contact a tech at the website and describe the problem.

Are you sure you didn't just press the button near the top of your keyboard? Look there and if it is red press it and it should turn blue. Otherwise go to settings and then "commonly used mobility settings" go to sound and check it there.

i had to use the reboot disc to reinstall the soundcard in mine. no problems now. or call HP, they will charge you but can manually tell you what to do.

alright when u say stopped working do u mean not start up or stall

if it just stopped go to your local computer store and tell them to check it out

it might be your power supply or socket or something is unplugged inside also check your fuse box
