Because Goldman Sachs stands to make billions should Hillary get her office. Privatization will be one of her benchmarks and guess who will do all the brokering?

Also in 2005, Goldman Sachs received received approximately $1.6 billion in taxpayer subsidies (mostly through Liberty Bonds) from New York City and state taxpayers (thanks to Hillary) to finance the Firm's new headquarters near the World Financial Center in lower Manhattan in return for a commitment to keep at least 9000 employees and a major trading operation in Manhattan.

You don't think this women will spend U.S. broke?
LOL!!!

Two reasons, probably. One, as several others have pointed out, is that Hillary is more likely to win than Rudy. Also, even if she loses, she still holds, and will probably continue to hold, an extremely important political office. Rudy is out of office, not likely to win the Presidency, and not likely to run for or win any other office.

The second is that Goldman Sachs has ties to the Clintons. Robert Rubin, Bill Clinton's Treasury Secretary, spent most of his early career there, rising from an ordinary trader to become COO. Jon Corzine also made his fortune there before becoming a Democratic Senator from New Jersey.

Goldman Sachs is buying influence.

They have determined that it is it much more likely that Hillary will win the Presidency, so Hillary gets more money.

Very simple.

ALL it screams to me is that special interests are alive and living to well. Both contributions stink of more manipulations and less public interests.

Mitt writes his own check from his personal accounts to fund his campaign. Imagine a Clinton "giving" like that?!

Where do we get the lists of foreign contributor's ? We know they are out there beyond bus boys in China Town.

edit: thank you Lance Hillary as Junior Senator has by passed her Senate group as to make #2 worst offender pork barrel spender ... just as a Rookie?! Imagine the possibilities as President?

Happy Halloween Lil ... from me I am KIM 2 :)
