No. I do daily maintenance by vacuuming it out.

Now if I can stop damaging it with the upright....

No not really a few crumbs though. My old one was really dusty and full of crumbs though eww.Yeah so i got this new one now :)

No because eating around my computer is a big no no. When I had a desk top computer, I could put the keyboard in the dishwasher. I can't do that with a lap top.
