Mel (below) Hi Mel! Your statement is very convincing. I can't speak for others, but I can NOT find any flaw in your reasoning.

No because you still have the Neocons creating wedges over issues like Pro Choice\Life, and so-called family values. As well as Health Care and Social Security Reform.

If there were no George Bush and Dick Cheney, I think the two parties would be able to work together much better than now.

Although I do not like Reagan, he was able to work with a Democratic Congress. Bill Clinton was able to work with a Republican Congress and still get things done.

But if the Republicans returned to being fiscal conservatives, and back off the religious right wing nonsense, the two will be much better off.

I strongly believe in the separation between Church and State. I think this concept has been lost the last few years.

Yes and maybe...no.
Then who would any of us have to complain about? Really. I wish one President per family tree for ever!! Enough already. What next ? Seriously, WJClinton tried already with a Republican house to extend Presidential term limits. With this bunch in can you imagine? Then for sure we shall see Chelsea 35 + one second declaring her candidacy somewhere?? ANd then there is Jeb? Where does it end?
Happy Halloween friend :) Kim

and I'm not a Hillary fan either...

You'd have to ask youself who would take thier place. Cheney and Edwards? Not much of an improvement.

They are both goofusses, but at least we have a focus on what not to do - unfortunately, zombies are in control and keep voting in their own kind.

Probably not. We know what the Republicans are. Democrats are just "Republican Lite".
