A re-manufactured AC-Delco lifetime warranty alternator will run very close to $200.00. You can buy cheapies for $25.00 - $50.00 less but not all interior parts are brand new. Anodes, diodes, capacitors and armature may not have not been replaced.
The cheapies come from companies who replace only the parts the make it work once again.

If you can find a place in your area that rebuilds starters and alternators you can have yours rebuilt. I live in Bethedsa, Ohio and there is a repair place here and he did mine for $45 which looks to be half or more than what most other people are telling you. You would have to take it off then take it to the shop then put it back on.

Buy a re-manufactured alternator and you can probably get it for about 100-150 bucks. The mechanic will charge you from 75-100 bucks.
