He bought 1/2 lb of live maggots from a fishing tackle shop, put them in an open envelope and posted them through the cafe's letter box after it closed. To anyone watching he was simply posting a letter. He then squirted superglue in the lock. By the time a locksmith got the door open next day, the maggots were everywhere. The cafe was closed for a week.
Moral of the story. Be nice to people.

That sounds like something I read about a woman who was mad at her cheating boyfriend (I think). Whilst he was away for a while, she put fish behind the radiators, turned them up high, and poured cress seeds and water all over the carpet. He got a nice surprise when he got home a week or so later!

What is your question? If we agree with your friend's childish and illegal response?

No, don't. The cafe owner was rude, but your friend was criminal.
