I'm 16, a healthy weight, and I exercise alot (not as much as i used to though)

It seems almost every time i stand up from a sitting or lying position I get very dizzy and my vision goes black. I usually have to grab hold of something. 2 years ago I went all the way and passed out. My mum thought I was having a fit.
At the hospital all the doctor did was take my temp from my year and then sent me home.

Could anyone tell me what this is please as its rather worrying. Im scared i might pass out again

Thanks x

you might be aneamic or suffer from low blood pressure. I suffer from both and for being aneamic i've been prescribed with iron tablets and need regular blood test so that the dr could check how aneamic i am.

A lot of dr's say that lots of young people suffer from low blood pressure! So it might be that you do suffer from low blood pressure or again, it could be that your aneamic, so my advise would be go to see your gp again, maybe you can ask him for a blood test to see whether you might be aneamic.

I get dizzy when I stand up too fast, especially when I am hot. My doctor says it is because I have relatively low blood pressure. He said that it was a healthy way to be!!! However, if your blood pressure is too low it is wise to treat it. You must go to see your doctor again and tell him that you are concerned. Apparently in some countries my level of blood pressure would be medicated for! It doesn't cause me a problem but if it is for you then that is different. Good luck!

These symptoms sound like an Adrenal Problem. When the adrenal glands are not working properly, you will get a dizzy feeling, especially when you have been sitting for a while and stand up quickly.

Order: Adrenal Complex and take 9 capsules in the morning before noon from: www.healthline.cc (not .com) or call in your oder to: (310) 320 - 1123.

Additionally, you must get at least 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night to recharge your adrenal glands or you will get this problem. To help you sleep and to help extend your life, you can order from the same company, melatonin. This form they sell is incredible. It is made a very special way and will not damage your DNA like all the other ones on the market because it is from a once living source and contains the same cell resonance as your body. Put 2 to 5 drops under your tongue before going to bed and you will have the best sleep you've ever had.

One more suggestion, I would also order the Max Stress B product from the same company and take 1/2 tsp. each day and slowly increase it to about 2 tsp's. per day. Take it for about 30 to 60 days. Also order the probiotic and take one in the morning and one in the evening each day. After 60 days of taking the B vitamins, you can stop because the probiotics will start making them for you. Those "B" vitamins are very special as well, because they are made to be in the "end chain" form and are highly digestible, unlike the ones you buy in stores that you urinate out in yellow urine.

good luck to you

My daught had something similiar, she was an athlete and had a low b/p. So same thing when she got up too fast sometimes she was dizzy. I'm sure your doc took your blood pressure. If there was a problem he would have told you. but be sure to tell him if it keeps up and when you get up do it gradually, sit on the side of bed for a while then slowly get up.

It's either low blood pressure (which isn't bad,) and you're getting up too fast. Or, you could be anemic.
Be sure to mention this next time you see a doctor. In the meantime, try getting up slower.
If this gets to be a real problem, see your doctor. It's possible your blood pressure is TOO low. 120 over 80 is normal. If either number gets to low, you should see your doctor. You can take your BP at pharmacies in drug stores, or at any Fire Station absolutely free. They're happy to take it.
Good luck, kiddo! :)

The reason you get dizzy is because when you get up suddenly your blood pressure rapidly declines causing you to get dizzy. Just be careful not to get up suddenly. I had it a lot when I was your age. Not so much when I got older. Once I entered my 30's it was no longer a problem.

Did you have your blood pressure checked? If you have very low blood pressure it will cause this to happen. I think I'd go see a different doctor. It's not good to get dizzy and pass out. Good luck. Hope it's nothing to serious.

sounds like a simple case of low blood pressure. you could try standing up more slowly which would help..BUT.. i would definitely go back and get a second opinion from a doctor just to be sure that it's not something more serious.

It's likely to be Vertigo but I think you should see your GP if you are worried about it, your GP should check your urine and blood pressure your ears and temp, if they don't be firm with them if nothing else its free and painless and it will put your mind at rest.

Dizzyness is a symptom of a few things like Vertigo, viral infections etc so get your GP to find out the cause hun.

Hope this helps x

Iregular blood pressure.Too high or too low, then again I am not a doc.Thats what I was told when I asked a doctor.Temperature taking surely seems a bit of an incomplete examination.
