Indie/Underground/lyrical.

Hip Hop is (almost) dead if you're talking 99.99% of big name rappers.

Kanye West and his new album is kind of what's out there only watered down for the masses.

Common isn't bad.

Jay Z started out great and then didn't really go anywhere.

At least Tupac had something to say.

I can get behind a lot of brain dead, party, junk food rap, but only so much.

Check out Incyte's beat, Numbers. As far as that goes check out Pittsburgh Hip Hop there are a few up and coming names there. Seattle's Hip Hop it's coming up big too.

16. There are too many to list here.

Kanye West is true Hip~Hop? OK, we'll agree to disagree on that one. And please do not mention Lil' Wayne to me OK? I think, out of the options you gave me I'll have to go with 90's rap, not including cash money. Instead, we can throw in some Wu Tang Clan, and Nas.

I like reynolds rap and can barely tolerate "Rappin' Rodney" by Rodney Dangerfield (released in '82). It doesn't bother me that others like it I just don't (I'm no young pup)
