It appears as though someone we know has tried to use one of our social security #'s to get credit in their name. I am trying to find out how to report this.

If you believe you have been the victim of identity theft, you may use the form below to send a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Man if you people only knew,,,,,U think the police are even capable of handling ID theft??????????

Unless there are very large sums of money involved the police usually don't bother with this...

U will have to do most of the leg work yourself,,and then when U have enough Evidence and a drained Credit score and bank account,,,then maybe the police can do something

Maybe you should call the fire department or something.

Call the police or the attorney general for your state. Jesus, do you have no common sense?
