I'm for economic opportunity and growth because that allows the future for our children be better than the present is for us.
according to best economic research, this requires continuing investment in learning and tools. Investing means we consume less and save more.
we can start that by having government consume less and get rid of the barriers it has erected to adding tools and skills to the American worker.
Rather obviously, higher taxes take funds away from people who then have less with which to invest. This is true of both middle and lower class people who invest in education and skills, and more well to do people whose investing buys the tools that everyone else uses.

In both parties, the candidates pander to the expreme elements to win their party's nomination, then try to reconcile to the center to win the general election.
